For the first time we are holding our Bi-annual ADHD Conference annually!!
The 2026 North Queensland ADHD Conference will be an incredible event aimed at parents, educators, carers, family members, professionals and those themselves with ADHD.

Held at the Pullman Reef Hotel Casino Urchins Ballroom for the third year for another incredible event.

This Conference will have a variety of expert speakers who will give you a fantastic understanding of ADHD from many different angles. Arming you with the tools, information and strategies to provide the best for those with ADHD so that they can realise their full potential and achieve their best.

About the North Queenland ADHD Conference

This will be the third North Queensland ADHD Conference, for the first time we are introducing it annually and it is set to be an insightful and incredible event. The Conference has got bigger and better every year, selling out in 2024 and a great turn around for 2025 with hundreds of people attending. In 2026 the Conference will be an even bigger and better sell out event.

The Conference will be held on Saturday 28th February 2026 at the spectacular Pullman Reef Hotel Casino, Urchin BallroomThe conference will run from 10am until 4pm.

Doors will open at 8:30am for registration, perusal of the exhibitor area, time to grab a drink and find a seat before the first speaker starts. 

The Conference will be a highly valuable and informative day for parents, educators, professionals, family members and friends of an individual with ADHD or suspected ADHD.

There will be a variety of renowned expert speakers, each providing a wealth of information and strategies that you can use at home, at school or in your workplace. The knowledge you gain could help you, your child, someone you work with, your friend.

We will also have a variety of exhibitors as well.

This Conference will be suitable for anyone with an interest in ADHD. The fantastic line up of speakers will help with many different strategies, information and topics surrounding ADHD.

All ticket holders will receive a certificate of attendance, valid for PD points which will be available on the day. 

Please Note:
Lunch is NOT included, however there are eateries at the venue.
Alternatively you are welcome to bring a packed lunch to avoid long queues or delays.
Due to insurance and topics covered, children under 14yo are not able to attend.

During the break times, as well as between 8:30am and 10am before speakers commence, you are invited to look around at the amazing exhibitors.

Speaker Lineup

Dr Dianne Grocott Psychiatrist

Dr. Dianne Grocott, a truly compassionate and deeply experienced psychiatrist who leads our ADHD care at Reflect Health. With over three decades of dedication in both public and private practice, Dr. Grocott brings a heartfelt, holistic approach to helping adults not just manage, but truly understand and thrive with ADHD. She specializes in Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Addiction Psychiatry.


Dr. Grocott is passionate about empowering her patients and a leading voice in ADHD advocacy and education. She is not only a seasoned clinician and an avid mental health advocate, but also a dedicated educator.

In 2015, she co-founded the Victorian Adult ADHD Interest Group (VAADHDIG), a multidisciplinary group where clinicians share expertise to improve patient lives. VAADHDIG members are actively involved in developing accredited GP Training Courses on ADHD and collaborating on best practice models for ADHD assessment and holistic management. She is also actively involved with other key organizations like the RANZCP’s ADHD Network and the Australian ADHD Professionals Association (AADPA).

Known for her collaborative spirit, Dr. Grocott works closely with GPs and uses telehealth to make her expert care accessible. Her greatest joy comes from equipping patients with the knowledge and strategies to confidently navigate their world, reducing challenges, and building more fulfilling lives.

Sarah Vanis Registered psychologist

Sarah identifies as neurodiverse with a late diagnosis of both ADHD and ASD. She is a qualified teacher and in the true spirit of ADHD, changed career directions and retrained as a psychologist. 
 
Sarah is currently working as a general psychologist in both a private practice and a private hospital. Sarah’s work is diverse and includes counselling and ADHD support for people aged 5-90 years. 
 
Part of Sarah’s services includes assessments on both ASD and ADHD. She enjoys working across the spectrum and helping her clients identify what is happening in their lives.  Sarah is trained in ADOS2 and use evidence based screeners alongside a clinical interview to help in the diagnosis. She also looks for supporting information from schools, partners and parents and use this in the assessment process. 
 
After they complete a diagnosis, she offers ongoing counselling supports. Sarah studied an ADHD Coaching Certificate and recently started her PhD in Psychology researching how ADHD is diagnosed in adults. This has been her area of hyperfocus to understand how a missed diagnosis can impact a person. 

Olwen Forker BackChat Speech Pathology

Olwen Forker is a Paediatric Speech Pathologist with over 20 years clinical experience in the area of paediatric language and literacy acquisition. Olwen’s clinical area of interest and a field in which she has extensive paediatric experience, is in the executive function field, working with children with working memory deficits and complex behavioural issues.

Olwen’s business, BackChat Speech Pathology is based in the private sector however she also works extensively as a consultant on projects working with disadvantaged and vulnerable children.

Michelle Lewis I am me ADHD Teacher

Michelle Lewis is a veteran educator with over 30 years’ experience and the founder of i.am.me, an initiative dedicated to improving understanding of ADHD in schools and families. A late ADHD diagnosis helped Michelle make sense of a lifetime of “being a lot,” and ignited her mission to empower teachers, parents, and young people with practical, compassionate knowledge.

As a specialist teacher in Music and Digital Technologies in Adelaide and a mother of two ADHD children, Michelle combines lived experience, classroom expertise, and ongoing research to enlighten, empower, and elevate others toward confident ADHD self-advocacy.  

Clare Winter ADHD Coach NQLD

Owner of Neurospicy Support – ADHD Coaching for Adults. 

Clare is a properly trained and accredited ADHD Coach with certifications as both an International Coaching Federation Associate Certified Coach, and an ADHD Coaching Academy (ADDCA) AACC Certified Coach.  


Being a neurospicy human with diagnosed ADHD, Clare understands the very real struggles and strengths that go along with having a neurospicy brain. She is passionate about helping others, and really values and loves the work that she does in partnership with her wonderful clients.

Clare is part of the LGBTQIA+ community, and Neurospicy Support is an LGBTQIA+ safe space. She has invested in educating herself with ACON Pride Training courses to increase her capacity, knowledge and confidence to deliver inclusive and affirming services to LGBTQIA+ communities.
Clare has also completed a variety of other training including Mental Health First Aid training with Mental Health First Aid Australia and Recognise and Respond Suicide Prevention with Black Dog Institute. 

She is also an International Coaching Federation (ICF) Member, Australasian ADHD Professionals Association (AADPA) Associate Member, ACON Welcome Here LGBTQ+ Member and ADHD Coaches Australasia Member. Neurospicy Support is based in Queensland, however Clare’s coaching sessions are available online over Zoom, so her clients are located far and wide.

Ruth Timms

Registered Psychologist

Ruth is a registered Psychologist with qualifications including a Bachelor of Psychological Science, a Bachelor of Psychological Science with Honours, and a Graduate Certificate of Forensic Mental Health. During her studies, she supported individuals in crisis following trauma. She then completed a two-year internship, followed by work in private practice

Ruth has undertaken a wide range of additional professional training, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (T-FACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Somatic Therapy, Art Therapy, and several other areas of interest. Her work is guided by the principles of Trauma-Informed Care, Neuro-Affirming Practice, and Person-Centred Therapy.

Ruth has experience and a particular interest in working with individuals who have experienced trauma across the lifespan, as well as the complex mental health concerns that often accompany these presentations. She has worked with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, chronic pain, gender and sexuality concerns, grief and loss, and addiction.

No, all speaker presentations are included within the price of your Conference entry.

Yes, to enter the Conference you will need to present your ticket. This can be either printed out or displayed on a mobile device.

Some tickets may be available to purchase at the door.
However, it should be noted that this Conference is expected to sell out prior to the date, so we recommend purchasing tickets early to avoid disappointment.

We are unable to refund tickets once they have been purchased. However, tickets are transferable and you are welcome to re-sell or gift your ticket to someone else.

We have kept ticket prices as low as possible and are unable to offer discounts, however, if you would like to have free entry, please email us to enquire about being a volunteer. Volunteers gain free entry, certificate of attendance and a workbook in exchange for their assistance on the day.

Companion card holders may be eligible for a discounted ticket, please email our admin team at admin@myspiritedchild.com and they will be able to assist you.

Food and drinks are NOT included so you may wish to bring food and drinks with you. There is a range of eateries nearby, as well as on-site.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide childcare. 

Children under the age of 14 years are not permitted at the Conference as this is an adult only event. This is due in part to insurance requirements, also the content is aimed at adults and therefore can be inappropriate for children. We also are aware that sitting through such a big event may raise anxiety for a child and will be too much of an expectation on them.

Yes, certificates of attendance will be available for everyone who purchases a ticket.

This Conference was first held in Victoria in 2019, then again in Victoria as well as in Queensland in 2021, and we added Western Australia, South Australia, Northern Territory and New South Wales ADHD Conference in 2022, and North Queensland and Tasmania in 2023. In 2024 finally being held internationally in New Zealand in both Auckland and Christchurch. This is the Sixth time we are bringing the conference to Queensland, Exciting!!
