What’s happening

We are delighted to announce the Second annual ACT ADHD Conference to be held Saturday 1st August 2026. This will be an incredible one-of-a-kind event aimed at parents, educators, carers, family members, professionals and those themselves with ADHD.

This Conference will have a variety of information and strategies straight from nationally and internationally renowned experts, who will give you a fantastic understanding of ADHD from many different angles. Arming you with the strategies to provide the best for those with ADHD.

About ACT ADHD Conference

This will be the 2nd Annual ACT ADHD Conference, and is set to be an incredible event. The Conference will be held on Saturday 1st August 2026 at the wonderful 59 Cameron Ave, Belconnen ACT 2617and will run from 10am until 4pm (Doors will open at 8:30am).

The Conference will be a highly valuable and informative day for parents, educators, professionals, family members and friends of an individual with ADHD or suspected ADHD. 

There will be a variety of renowned expert speakers, each providing a wealth of information and strategies that you can use at home, at school or in your workplace. The knowledge you gain could help you, your child, someone you work with, your friend.

We had an amazing selection of exhibitors in 2025 and we can not wait to see the line up for 2026!!

All ticket holders will receive a certificate of attendance, valid for PD points which will be available on the day, this will be delivered blank for you to add your name. Please note, this Conference has been run across Australia and New Zealand previously and usually sells out and we expect the ACT Conference to do the same again so we highly recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.

Lunch is NOT included, however there are nearby eateries.
Alternatively you are welcome to bring a packed lunch to avoid long queues or delays.
Due to insurance and topics covered, children under 14yo are not able to attend.

During the break times, as well as between 8:30am and 10am before speakers commence, you are invited to look around at the amazing exhibitors.

Speaker Lineup


Karise is an AuDHD Counselling Social Worker, Researcher, and the founder of Paths with Purpose – an Australia-wide online counselling practice dedicated to supporting ADHD and AuDHD females.
 
With over 12 years of experience in trauma informed and neurodiversity-affirming mental health practice, Karise brings a unique blend of professional expertise, lived experience, and personal insight to her work.
 
Karise is an Associate Member of the Australasian ADHD Professionals Association, a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers Ethics Council and a Charles Sturt University academic. She is passionate about being at the forefront of research and best-practice for neurodivergence in women in an authentic and compassionate way. As such, she is currently completing her PhD research in the area of late-diagnosed ADHD women.
 
Karise’s passion for understanding and supporting the distinct needs of neurodivergence drives her continuous professional development and advocacy efforts. She travels extensively throughout Australia, partnering with organizations, service providers, and workplaces to create more inclusive neurodiversity-affirming spaces that support people to thrive in their daily environments.

Ash Seggie is the founder of ND Support and Coaching and a passionate advocate for neurodivergent individuals and families. A former teacher, she is deeply committed to fostering strong collaboration between parents, schools and communities to improve outcomes for neurodivergent children.


Ash’s work is shaped by both professional experience and her own lived experience parenting neurodivergent children. This led her to establish ND Support and Coaching, where she promotes neuroaffirming, evidence-based practices and supports parents, carers and educators with practical tools to create environments in which neurodivergent children can thrive.


An ICF-accredited ADHD and parent coach, Ash works with neurodivergent adults and parents to help them understand and work with their brains rather than against them. ND Support and Coaching also delivers online and in-person courses and presentations, developed in collaboration with a clinical psychologist. In her presentations, Ash combines research, best practice, personal anecdotes and practical strategies, underpinned by a strong call to action to embrace neurodiversity, support inclusion and advocate for the individual needs of every child.

Callie Elward-Barrett is a neuroinclusion speaker, strategist and founder of Executive Functioning Leadership, where she helps leaders, organisations and communities create environments in which neurodivergent people can genuinely thrive. Her work sits at the intersection of inclusion, leadership, systems design and human capability, with a particular focus on turning awareness into practical action. She additionally co-founded ndWILD, (Weird Intense Loud Different) a non-profit global neuroinclusion movement.


Before founding her business, Callie held senior executive roles in the Australian Public Service, including leadership work in the Department of Health and Aged Care and the Digital Transformation Agency. Her career has included leading large-scale, high-stakes work across public policy, reform, stakeholder engagement, and service delivery, including the Australian Government’s COVID response for First Nations, Disability, and Aged Care environments.


Known for her warmth, honesty and ability to connect the dots between childhood, adulthood, education, and work, Callie brings a perspective that is both strategic and deeply human. She is passionate about helping people move beyond deficit-based narratives and towards approaches that recognise the brilliance, complexity and support needs of neurodivergent minds. 

Nell Harris She/Her
Nell is a Neurodivergent Artist and Sociology major who is continually inspired from observing our social world and is forever creating.


Art has always been Nell’s preferred form of communication, she love to explore social constructs with the next generation by being the author and illustrator for her series of social emotional children’s books, as well as illustrating for other authors. 


Nell predominantly focuses on supporting education, with a passion for primary years as a lot of foundational relationships and perspectives bloom there. She is regularly attending author talks, staff meetings, and hosting personal development workshops where she shares her experience and knowledge (in between writing, illustrating and painting other works).


Nell lives in a quiet South Australian beach town with her partner and two children, she is incredibly passionate about working to a truly neuroaffirming and inclusive world that prioritises curiosity over judgement. 

Trudy Parkin spent 25 years working as an educator before transitioning into her current role as a certified ADHD Life Coach. With lived experience of ADHD, she brings both professional insight and personal understanding to her work, allowing her to connect deeply with those she supports.

Trudy is deeply passionate about helping people understand how their brains work, particularly in the context of ADHD. She focuses on softening self-judgement and supporting individuals to move away from shame and towards greater self-compassion. Through a practical, strengths-based approach, her work empowers people to build understanding, confidence, and strategies that lead to meaningful, sustainable change in everyday life.

Sarah Burrows is an ICF‑accredited professional coach (PCC) and the founder of L3 Coaching, based in Canberra. She works with adults, leaders, and families navigating change, emotional overwhelm, and neurodivergence, with a particular focus on adults with ADHD and AuDHD. Sarah brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work , she has ADHD herself and is the parent of daughters with ADHD and Dyslexia.

Prior to establishing L3 Coaching, Sarah spent twenty years in the pharmaceutical industry, where she worked in sales and stakeholder engagement and developed a strong understanding of evidence‑based practice, behaviour change, and the realities of working alongside health professionals. This background informs her ability to bridge clinical insight with practical, human‑centered support. Sarah is known for her calm, non‑judgmental coaching style and her capacity to support capable adults who struggle with regulation, follow‑through, and self‑trust.

Sarah holds qualifications as an ICF‑accredited coach, Master Practitioner and Trainer of Neuro‑Linguistic Programming (NLP), and Master Practitioner of Hypnotherapy, with a background in science (BSc) and extensive experience in communication, leadership, and human behaviour. Her integrative approach blends evidence‑informed coaching, NLP, and trauma‑aware practices to support emotional regulation, clarity, and sustainable change. Sarah delivers one‑to‑one coaching, group programs, workshops, and keynote presentations, and works collaboratively with organisations and health professionals. She is particularly passionate about the ripple effect that supported adults with ADHD can have on families, parenting systems, and the next generation.

No, all speaker presentations are included within the price of your Conference entry.

Yes, to enter the Conference you will need to present your ticket. This can be either printed out or displayed on a mobile device.

Some tickets may be available to purchase at the door.
However, it should be noted that this Conference is expected to sell out prior to the date, so we recommend purchasing tickets early to avoid disappointment.

We are unable to refund tickets once they have been purchased. However, tickets are transferable and you are welcome to re-sell or gift your ticket to someone else.

We have kept ticket prices as low as possible and are unable to offer discounts, however, if you would like to have free entry, please email us to enquire about being a volunteer. Volunteers gain free entry, certificate of attendance and a workbook in exchange for their assistance on the day.

Companion card holders may be eligible for a discounted ticket, please email our admin team at admin@myspiritedchild.com and they will be able to assist you.

Food and drinks are NOT included so you may wish to bring food and drinks with you. There is a range of eateries nearby but we can not guarantee that they will be open / a bringing lunch is recommended. 

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide childcare. 

Children under the age of 14 years are not permitted at the Conference as this is an adult only event. This is due in part to insurance requirements, also the content is aimed at adults and therefore can be inappropriate for children. We also are aware that sitting through such a big event may raise anxiety for a child and will be too much of an expectation on them.

Yes, certificates of attendance will be available for everyone who purchases a ticket – These will be sent as a PDF and will be blank for you to add your own name.

This Conference was first held in Victoria in 2019, since then it has been held year after year in across Australia, and New Zealand. In 2025 for the first time, this Conference came to the ACT for the first time in 2025 and we can not wait for round 2!
