About my spirited child

Our Story

My Spirited Child began with a simple intention: to create a safe, supportive space for families navigating the unique joys and challenges of raising neurodivergent children.

What started as a small community seeking connection and understanding has grown into a movement across Australia, New Zealand, and beyond. As parents and caregivers ourselves, we understand how important it is to feel seen, heard, and supported. Thatโ€™s why we set out to bring families, carers, educators, and experts togetherโ€”to learn from one another and to build a community grounded in compassion and empowerment.

What we do

We host in-person and online conferences, seminars & classes across Australia and New Zealand, bringing together leading experts in neurodiversity, education, behaviour, and wellbeing. Whether you’re a parent looking for new strategies, a carer seeking connection, or an educator wanting deeper understanding, our events offer something for everyone..

Our events are designed to:

Provide practical, actionable insights
Offer guidance for managing real-life challenges
Connect attendees with a supportive, like-minded Community
Give families & professionals the tools they need to make a meaningful difference

OUR IMPACT

Every event, workshop, and conversation helps strengthen the neurodivergent community. Over the years we’ve:

Hosted events attended by families and professionals across Australia and New Zealand

Featured speakers who are leaders in neurodiversity, education, and child development

Provided a supportive space where attendees feel heard, understood, and empowered

  • Just want to say how valuable the day was and all the different areas spoken about for ADHD. As a 30 year old male, I’ve struggle my whole life knowing i was different but only diagnosed this year. It has been a big year for me, and my mum and partner attended with me to gain greater understanding too, which is awesome for them and me
